The user will receive a welcome response, something like “Welcome to State Bank Mobile Application”.

  2. Enter ‘4’ and Send
  3. Accept the terms & conditions displayed
  4. Press ‘Answer’ & Enter ‘1’ 
  5. Enter old MPIN and Press ‘Send’
  6. Enter new MPIN and Press ‘Send’

The user’s MPIN will be changed, and you will receive a validation message by SMS.

Now the user must go to the nearest ATM or Bank Branch to complete the activation process.

For activation at ATM, follow the given steps:

  • Swipe the debit card & Choose ‘Mobile Registration’ option

SBI does not charge its customers for using any of the above-mentioned services to check their account balance. In the case of the ATM service, however, there is a monthly limit on the number of free non-financial transactions.

The amount of free transactions you can make is determined by your average monthly balance. If the number of such transactions exceeds the free limit, you will be charged Rs 8 (for other bank ATMs) or Rs 5 (for SBI own ATMs), plus 18% GST, according to the prices listed on the banks’ website.
